This course is set to introduce the graduate students the fundamental and important concepts of advanced topics in satellite remote sensing. All materials are selected from various graduate-level books. Students are expected to have the basic knowledge on satellite remote sensing, which is equivalent to the level of the undergraduate course "Introduction to remote sensing". This course would serve as a core course for those students who are going to apply the technology of satellite remote sensing to their researches.

Students are expected to learn the fundamental and important concepts of advanced topics in satellite remote sensing. Each topic will include the fundamental concepts and principles, the widely-used and widely-accepted methods, the practical examples, the successful applications, and the current or possible directions of research. Students are also expected to read the supplement material and organize them in a systematic and logical content.
