Course Description

  1.   The learning goal of this class is to improve intermediate students’ English   listening, speaking, reading and writing proficiency with adequate   opportunities of practice in an effective way. Topics cover global themes of   arts, social concerns, and technological development which are thoroughly   updated for nowadays students. Apart from the textbooks, the updated handouts   will be provided as extra comprehension input. The oral training helps   students develop daily communicative skills daily and build their self-confidence   and techniques needed in academic presentations.
  2.   By the end of this course, students are   expected to familiarize themselves with grammar, vocabulary, and the   mechanics of everyday reading and writing, and become a better speaker of   English by saying what they really think, listening a lot, learning   conversational phrases, keeping expanding their vocabulary, taking the   initiative, asking when they don’t understand, and NOT being afraid to make   mistakes IN ENGLISH.

  2. 2.      Students are   strongly recommended to ask event leave ahead of   class and sick leave right after that class they are absent. All   students are allowed to be absent ONLY for the very first 2 hours; after   these very first 2 hours, all absent hours will be counted and   recorded. Over-absenteeism will be reported to school and those who are   of over-absenteeism are not allowed to attend the final exam   according to the school's student regulations. 學則

第四章 缺席、曠課

第九條 學生因請假而缺課者,稱為缺席,無故缺席者稱為曠課。學生請假辦法另定之。

第十條 學生曠課一小時,扣所缺科目學業成績分數一分,請假缺席三小時,扣所缺科目學業成績分數一分。因公請假或因病請假而經醫生診斷出具證明書者,其缺席不扣分。

第十一條學生請假無論因病因事均不得逾全學期上課時間三分之一。但經專案簽准者除外。學生於某一科目缺席時數(無論因病、事)逾該科目全學期上課時數三分之一,由教務處查明予以扣考該科目之處分。

第十二條學生於某一科目曠課時數逾該科目全學期上課時數九分之一時,由教務處於學期考試舉行前查明公佈,予以扣考該科目之處分。學生於一學期中曠課時數累積逾四十五小時者,即予退學處分。

第一條  本校學生請假依本辦法辦理。

        學生請假缺席曠課,扣所缺科目學業成績、補考、退學,依本校學則辦理。

全學期曠課3小時以上,扣操行成績分數,依本校學生操行成績實施辦法辦理。

第二條  學生請假之種類分病假、事假、公假、喪假、給假五種。

第三條  學生請假超過1日必須檢具證明。條件與程序說明如下:

(一)病假:因病請假,須檢具醫療院所之證明。

(二)事假:因事請假,須有家長、監護人文件或其他足資證明之文件。

(三)公假:1.經選派代表學校參加校外活動,有相關單位出具證明文件者。

2.經選派擔任公務活動,有單位主管出具證明文件者。

3.各系所因課程需要舉辦之教學活動,經系所主管同意者,於該課程上課時間內辦理,若有參觀活動限於例假日舉行。

4.有關兵役事項,有兵役單位出具證明文件者。

5.基於法定義務出席作證、答辯,有相關單位出具證明文件者。

6.參加政府依法主辦之考試、訓練,有相關證明文件者。

7.參加其他依法規定應給公假者。

(四)喪假:學生或其配偶之直系親屬、兄弟姊妹喪葬,須檢具證明。

(五)給假:1.學生因懷孕引發之事(病)假、產假,得持醫生證明辦理請假,請假之個別狀況比照專案申請辦理。

2.捐贈骨髓或器官者,得視實際需要給假,須檢具證明。

第四條  學生請假,應事先填寫請假單,或於請假最後一日起算3日內,依下列准假權責規定陳核後,再向生活輔導組完成請假登記手續;公假、學生申請出境,尚須經院長(或派遣單位主管)、學生事務長核准。

  准假權責規定如下:

(一)單一科目         --任課老師。

(二)二科目以上至3天 -- 導師。

(三)超過3天         -- 系主任(所長)。

第五條  學期考試期間不得請假。但因急病不能參加考試者,應檢具健保局特約醫院或診所出具之急診證明書辦理請假手續;因配偶、直系親屬、兄弟姊妹或以永久共同生活為目的而同居之親屬喪故,或因臨時發生不可抗拒之變故不能參加考試者,應檢具證明文件辦妥請假手續。

前項請假應於應試科目開考前辦理,若因特殊原因逾期請假者,應請授課老師、系主任(所長)另敘明准假理由。

前項請假,填妥請假單後,由授課老師,系主任(所長)核准後,再向課務組、生活輔導組辦理請假手續。

第六條  學生請假,因重病或重大事故無法親自辦理時,得以電話、書信或委託人於規定日期內先向授課老師報備,事後補辦請假手續。

前項請假如無法與授課老師取得連絡者,得由系主任(所長)簽署證明,事後向授課老師補辦請假手續。

第七條  學生請假手續,應依規定程序辦理。

學生未依規定請假,或請假未准而缺席者,以曠課論。

第八條  本辦法經學生事務會議通過並陳校長核定後實施,修正時亦同。

註2:學生所累計之自學成績在100年10月之前將由成鷹辦公室統計,之後即可登入成功入口查詢。查詢系統正式上線時間將另行公告。
